From the water to the web

MY STORY

Hi, I'm Mike.

I'm the person behind MikeWard WebDesigns, based in the North West Highlands of Scotland.

My working life has largely been spent on the water, working as a boat skipper along Scotland's famous NC500 route. It's an incredible place to live and work, but with such a short tourist season, I wanted to build something of my own that I could develop throughout the year.

That's where my journey into web design began. I've always enjoyed creating things and finding solutions, and web design gives me the opportunity to combine that with something I find genuinely rewarding, helping other businesses grow and succeed.

Through my work and travels, I've seen how many fantastic businesses there are across the UK, from small independent shops to accommodation providers and tourism operators. But I've also noticed that some businesses have websites that no longer reflect the quality of what they offer.

I believe every business deserves a website that makes a great first impression, is easy to use and helps them connect with more customers. That's what motivates me to do what I do, and I'm excited to build MikeWard WebDesigns and help businesses across the UK create an online presence they're proud of.
